Partner Probability Calculator
Curious about your dating pool? Select a country and preferences to explore an illustrative estimate built from approximate demographic marginals. The model assumes criteria are independent, so it is not a measured population statistic.

About This Calculator
This tool combines approximate marginal demographic rates drawn from government and research publications. The source years, definitions, survey methods, and covered populations differ, so the result should be treated as an exploratory model rather than a population fact.
Data Sources by Country
- USA: Census Bureau CPS ASEC, NCHS NHANES, CDC NSFG
- UK: ONS Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings, NHS Health Survey
- Canada: Statistics Canada CIS, Canadian Community Health Survey
- Germany: Destatis, GEDA Health Survey
- Italy: ISTAT Living Conditions Survey, ISS Health Data
- Spain: INE, ENE-COVID Study
- Mexico: INEGI ENIGH, ENSANUT
- Colombia: DANE, ENSIN Nutrition Survey
- Other countries: National statistics offices, Eurostat, World Bank, WHO data
How It Works
The calculator multiplies the marginal percentage for each selected criterion. That calculation explicitly assumes statistical independence even though many criteriaโespecially age, income, marital status, health, and heightโare correlated. Height percentiles are approximated with normal curves, and one broad adult age distribution is currently reused across countries. The displayed result is deliberately rounded to avoid implying unsupported precision.
Important Notes
- This is an illustrative independence-model estimate, not a measured prevalence, headcount, or guarantee
- Criteria are correlated in real populations; multiplying marginal rates can overstate or understate their overlap
- Source years and definitions vary by country, and the model does not provide a confidence interval
- Income values are in local currency for each country
- Ethnicity options only appear for countries with diverse demographic data (US, UK, Canada)
- Compatibility involves many factors beyond demographics (personality, values, interests, chemistry)
- Results are meant to be informative and fun, not prescriptive
Remember: Finding a great partner is about connection, not statistics. Use this as a conversation starter, not a dating strategy.
