How to Measure Your Foot

  1. Place a piece of paper on a hard floor against a wall. Stand on the paper with your heel touching the wall.
  2. Mark the tip of your longest toe on the paper with a pen or pencil. Keep the pen vertical for accuracy.
  3. Measure the distance from the edge of the paper (at the wall) to the mark in centimeters.
  4. Repeat for your other foot. Feet are often slightly different sizes.
  5. Use the larger measurement and compare it to the CM column in the charts above for your best size.
Tip: Measure your feet at the end of the day when they are slightly larger. Wear the type of socks you plan to use with the shoes for the most accurate fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

US and EU shoe sizes don't follow a simple formula because sizing systems evolved independently. Generally, for men's shoes add about 33 to the US size (e.g., US 10 = EU 43-44), and for women's add about 31 (e.g., US 8 = EU 39). Use our converter above for exact conversions.

Women's US sizes are typically 1.5 to 2 sizes larger than men's for the same foot length. For example, a women's US 8 is approximately the same as a men's US 6.5. UK and EU sizing also differs between men's and women's shoes.

Place your foot on a piece of paper, mark the heel and longest toe, then measure the distance in centimeters. Compare this measurement to our CM column for the most accurate size. Measure both feet and use the larger measurement.

CM (centimeter) sizing, also called Mondopoint, measures the actual length of your foot. It's the most precise sizing system because it's based on physical measurement rather than arbitrary numbering. It's commonly used in Japan and Korea.

Yes, shoe sizes can vary significantly between brands and even between different shoe styles from the same brand. Our converter provides standard sizing, but we recommend trying shoes on when possible or checking brand-specific size guides.
