Information We Collect

Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. This helps us improve our tools and user experience. The information collected includes:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Browser type and version
• Operating system and device information
• General geographic location (city/country level)
• Referral sources (how you found our site)

Information Processed by Tools

Most calculators, generators, text tools, and file converters process their inputs locally in your browser. Galick Tools does not receive those inputs. Some tools need live data and send limited information to third-party services, as described below.

• Address and coordinate tools: Search terms or coordinates may be sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim, LocationIQ, or OpenCage to return search and reverse-geocoding results.
• IP Checker: Your public IP address and related network information are requested from ipapi.co, ip-api.com, or ipwho.is. This happens when the IP Checker page loads and when you refresh its results.
• Currency Converter: Currency selections are used in requests to Frankfurter or ExchangeRate-API for current exchange-rate data.
• Maps: Pages with maps request map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Those requests disclose normal network information, including your IP address, to the tile provider.
• Browser location: The Lat/Long Finder only requests device location after you choose its location feature and your browser grants permission. Coordinates may then be sent to a geocoding provider to find an address.

Third-party providers receive the normal technical information included with a web request, such as your IP address, browser details, and request time. Their own privacy and retention policies govern their handling of that data.

How We Use Information

The limited analytics data we collect is used solely to:

• Understand which tools are most popular
• Identify technical issues or bugs
• Improve website performance and user experience
• Make decisions about new features or tools to add

Local Processing and Browser Storage

Tools are designed to keep data on your device when a network service is not required:

• Calculations, generated content, and uploaded file contents are normally processed in your browser.
• Some tools save preferences, recent entries, or generated results in browser storage on your device.
• You can remove locally stored data by clearing site data in your browser.
• Connected features require a network connection and make the requests listed under “Information Processed by Tools.”

Third-Party Services

We use Google Analytics to collect usage statistics. Google's privacy policy applies to that collection. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Individual connected tools also use the data and map providers identified above. Some pages download fonts or software libraries from Google Fonts, jsDelivr, cdnjs, or unpkg; those providers receive the normal information included with a web request.

Cookies

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar browser storage to distinguish visits and understand site usage. Individual tools also use local storage for settings or saved results. You can block or clear cookies and site storage through your browser settings, although saved preferences may be lost.

Data Security

We limit tool-data collection by processing locally when practical and by sending only the information needed for connected features. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so avoid entering sensitive information into a connected tool unless it is necessary.
